About Dr Oommen George
A Klang boy, and the son of two school teachers, Dr. George spent his formative years in A.C.S. primary, and subsequently, La Salle secondary school, Klang. He is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who trained in India and Malaysia. He was gazetted as a Plastic Surgeon by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia (Warga Kerajaan Siri 11/2007) on the 6th June 2007, credentialed as a Plastic Surgeon by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia on the 3rd September 2007, and was entered into the National Specialist Register (NSR No: 128634) on the 17th March 2012 - https://www.nsr.org.my/ Prior to joining KPJ Klang Specialist hospital, Dr. George held a teaching position as a Senior Fellow and Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre, as well as the U.K.M. Specialist Centre, Cheras, from the 1st of February 2011. Prior to that, he served as a Plastic Surgeon at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Hospital Kuala Lumpur from the 1st of December 2006. He was a visiting Plastic Surgeon at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang, from the 1st of June 2007 till the 31st of January 2011, as well as Hospital Serdang from the 1st of June 2009 till the 30th of June 2010. He was appointed an honorary lecturer and supervisor for the M.S. Plastic Surgery (U.S.M.) programme from 1st January 2009. He is also a member of the Main Credentialing and Privileging Committee for Aesthetic Medical Practice, Ministry of Health, Malaysia, from February 2012.
