Dr Nik Marzuki Mohammad graduated with an MBBS from University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1994. He pursued specialisation in the art & science of anaesthesia at Malaysia’s apex university, University Science of Malaysia and was conferred the Master of Medicine (Anaesthesia) in 2002.
Dr Nik Marzuki then practiced his trade in general anaesthesia at the Selayang Specialist Hospital and obtained gazettment from the Ministry of Health as an Anaesthetist and Critical Care Specialist in 2003.
Not one to rest on his laurels, he entered sub specialization training in his chosen field of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at the Penang Heart Centre, Penang Hospital in 2004.
While in this capacity, in 2007, he received an appointment as Specialist Registrar at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle, United Kingdom and acquired advanced extensive training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Critical Care culminating in obtaining the Fellowship in Adult Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia from Newcastle, United Kingdom . On returning to Malaysia in 2008, he continued to serve the northern population generally at the Penang Heart Centre and subsequently in Serdang Heart Centre, Serdang Specialist Hospital.
He is fully certified and gazetted as a Cardiothoracic Anaesthetist by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and is listed in the National Specialist Registry since 2011. To date, Dr Nik Marzuki Mohammad is extremely proud to be associated with the renowned KPJ Healthcare organisation and is currently serving as Resident Consultant Anaesthetist & Critical Care in KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital.
