Dato’ Dr. Sivamohan. N is currently working as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (sub-speciality Gynae-Oncology) at Damansara Specialist Hospital, Petaling Jaya. Apart from his current commitments, he has been appointed as the Medical Director /Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (sub-speciality in Gynae-Oncology) at KPJ Klang Hospital.
Dato’ Dr. Sivamohan. N qualified with the MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, University of Mysore in 1979 under the prestigious Indian Council of Cultural Research (ICCR) Scholarship. After a year of compulsory internship in Mangalore, he returned to serve in the Malaysian Public Health Sector.
Upon completion of his housemanship in Hospital Klang, he worked as a District Medical Officer at Hospital Banting. He was later transferred back to Hospital Klang as a Medical Officer. He was subsequently appointed as a Registrar in the O&G Dept. at Hospital Penang for two years (1983-1985). Following his 2 year training in O&G, he was awarded a JPA Scholarship to pursue his postgraduate degree in the UK. During this time, he worked as a Senior Registrar and Clinical Specialist in various prestigious Institutes in the UK. He obtained his MRCOG in 1986 and returned to Malaysia to serve as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. In 1990, he was awarded the British Commonwealth Medical Foundation Scholarship for Gyane-Oncology in the UK. During this period , he worked for two years at various prestigious hospitals in the UK, including the Royal Marsden, Charring Cross, St Barts and John Radcliff (Oxford). Upon his completion of the fellowship, he returned to work at Hospital Kuala Lumpur as Consultant Obstetrician& Gynaecologist/Gynae-Oncologist. Dato’ Dr. Sivamohan. N started private practice at Damansara Specialist Hospital in 1997.
Apart from his interests in clinical medicine, Dato’ Sivamohan has a keen interest in Hospital Management. He is a member of several committees, both at the hospital and KPJ Group level. To broaden his knowledge in Hospital Management, he successfully completed the M.Sc. in Healthcare Management from University of Wales, Swansea, June 2000. His thesis was on Healthcare Reforms in Malaysia.
His sub-speciality interests are preventive and promotive aspects of Women’s Health, Gynae-Oncology and Laparoscopic Surgery (minimally invasive /key-hole surgery). He is also actively involved in teaching activities and sits on various committees in the College of O&G, Academy of Medicine, as well as in the Ministry of Health. He served as the Honorary Secretary of the College of O&G, Academy of Medicine, Malaysia from 2005 - 2011. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the “DSNS” from HRH Ruler of Negeri Sembilan as well as the” DPMP” from the Sultan of Perak, both carrying the title of ~Dato~.

Conferred the title Dato’ (DPMP) by the HRH Sultan of Perak in April 2008.
